The Membership and Communications Committee is responsible for promoting AgGateway membership both internally and externally.  We track existing membership levels and targeted goals and provide support and materials to help reach those goals.  Since our organization is based on linkages between trading partners, much of our efforts are focused on helping existing members identify, contact and recruit new members that are current or potential trading partners. In addition, the committee is also responsible for managing our primary methods of communication with existing members – our website and electronic newsletter.

As AgGateway and the Membership and Communications Committee (M&C) rapidly heads toward 2011, there is not a better time for you to get involved.  Two great opportunities are developing in M&C for 2011.

First, helping recruit new members to build AgGateway success stories.  Six new members were welcomed in December.  Among the six new companies there are 17 potential new contacts with the Councils.  What a great source of new energy, ideas and enthusiasm!  Let's make sure we multiple this success many additional times in 2011.

Second, M&C will be making major improvements to the AgGateway website in 2011.  If you have an interest or expertise in web site development and design we need your ideas and experience on the committee. Please join us.
