Conceptually, AgGateway can be viewed as a forum of councils. Within AgGateway, companies participate in organizational groups called Industry Segment Councils (or just “Councils”.) The council structure gives industry segments and companies the control necessary to define segment priorities, projects and needs within a large, diverse industry organization. Determination of the funding mechanism for the projects and implementations is also retained in the segments. Each Council elects a Chairperson and Vice-chairperson to represent the Council on the AgGateway Board of Directors.
