One of the primary segments of the agricultural industry is the fertilizer or crop nutrition segment. Many of the eBusiness challenges facing our industry segment are different than those of other industry segments such as crop protection. The crop nutrition council of AgGateway has been formed to recognize this uniqueness. AgGateway members participating or supporting the production, distribution or consumption of fertilizers are eligible to join the council. The council’s focus is promotion of eBusiness within the segment by sponsoring projects, growing membership, collaborating with other Agricultural segments and representing crop nutrition requirements within the AgGateway standards bodies.
Mission
The Crop Nutrition council will expand eBusiness participation and drive business value within our industry segment by sponsoring projects, growing membership and promoting the value of eBusiness.
Goals & Objectives
The Crop Nutrition council’s objectives are as follows:
- Promote eBusiness projects to ensure at least one project is active at all times. Projects may be eBusiness implementations or projects “under study”, such as developing business case and assessing viability.
- Expand membership annually by 10% with focus on each channel within our segment including producers, distributors and retailers. Annual growth target may be reviewed on an annual basis.
