Cultivating eBusiness for Global Success

November 10 – 13, 2014
Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel – Phoenix, Arizona

“Agriculture is the most healthful, most useful and most noble employment of man,” according to George Washington, and “Agriculture is our wisest pursuit, because it will in the end contribute most to real wealth, good morals, and happiness.” Thomas Jefferson in a letter to George Washington

These sentiments resonate yet today – maybe even more so given our dramatically changing world. The alarming increase in the world’s population and increasingly stressed resources drive today’s food producers to be ever more efficient and effective in their agricultural practices. Farmers must cultivate the ground and apply the best nutrients in such a way that results in the greatest yield. Retailers deliver improved technology to help growers achieve better yields. Throughout all stages of agriculture, AgGateway is here to help.

AgGateway’s core directive is to serve the agriculture industry with the mission to promote, enable and expand eBusiness. That directive has been compelling to the industry: Membership in AgGateway has grown from 10 companies since its inception in 2005 to 203 member companies in 2013 more than 70 of which conduct business internationally.

Eight industry segments are represented, and within these segments the breadth and depth of eConnections also has blossomed – from just 112 in 2005 to 2,560 in 2013, and the number continues to grow. More allied providers and regulatory groups have become involved and are likewise interested in supporting eBusiness in agriculture. Progress has been tremendous and is driven by the needs of all in agriculture to foster efficiency and excellence.

AgGateway’s members are dedicated to preparing, nurturing and using eBusiness standards in order to promote widespread use of these standards by many others in the industry. Now we’re in a period where more industry partners can get involved to learn, contribute and cultivate eBusiness – and also reap the benefits for global success! Have you and your organization been busy cultivating? Or have you been sitting on the sidelines waiting for others to lead the way? Now’s the time to move off the sidelines and get out in the field to work the ground and prepare for more efficient, effective and speedy operations. Let’s get together and continue to cultivate eBusiness.

Join us in Phoenix to collaborate and cultivate eBusiness for global success in agriculture!
