Nominate a Student for the Gateway to Ag Careers Program

AgGateway, the agriculture industry’s eBusiness solutions organization, is offering an opportunity for students to attend its Annual Meeting and Conference. As a non-profit organization that highly values eBusiness education, we will be selecting students to attend our annual conference in New Orleans, LA – November 4th – 6th, 2019.

This annual AgGateway conference attracts IT and Business executives throughout the agricultural industry across North America. We are looking for high achieving, mature students from Ag and/or IT departments who will benefit from the experience of meeting major eBusiness drivers in American agriculture.

We believe it is important to begin introducing the next generation of Business and Ag leaders to industry events prior to the completion of their academic careers. Because of this, in 2009, we initiated a program designed to give students an opportunity to participate in our annual conference and gain insights into ‘real world’ issues as well as continue to build interest in IT and Ag professions.

Grants will be awarded to nominated students to attend the 2019 Conference being held on November 4th - 6th at the Hotel Monteleone in New Orleans, LA. During the conference, students will be paired with a “host” AgGateway member with whom they will attend the various conference presentations and meetings. They will also have the opportunity to network with other AgGateway members. Students will be required to participate in a round-table style session discussing the various opportunities for Ag and IT professionals within member organizations. This will be a prime opportunity for participating students to ask questions and gain valuable insights about our member organizations.

The grant will provide each awarded student with roundtrip airfare, accommodations at the conference hotel, and conference registration fees. We ask you submit your nominations via email using the Nomination Form to GTAC@AgGateway.org by Monday, September 16th, 2019.

Award letters will be issued shortly after this date. Students must then verify acceptance of these awards.

The grants are being sponsored by the AgCIO Roundtable, which is a group of Chief Information Officers within the ag industry.

More information on the AgGateway 2019 Conference, will be posted to our website in June, 2019.

We look forward to working with you and your nominated students.

Please submit this year's applications by Monday, September 16th, 2019.
