AgGateway Latin American Seeks Better Access to Agricultural Climate Data

AgGateway Latin America region is examining how members can improve access to climate data. What is the relevant data? Where does that data exist? How can members best access it?

Leading the effort is the Digital Agricultural Section of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa). AgGateway members are identifying key links in the climate data chain. These include companies that consume climate data, weather solutions companies, weather station companies, academia, and additional research entities such as the Brazilian National Institute for Space Research (INPE) and the Centre for Meteorological and Climate Research Applied to Agriculture (CEPAGRI). The next step is to schedule discussions with these groups to gain their perspective on this topic.
